We idolize our athletes … from 7 year old T ballers to NFL Pro Bowl…
The Next Evolution In Sports

In more ways than we often realize, sports and life mirror each other. Succeeding in any competitive sport requires the use of the same skills that succeeding in life utilizes. Athletes involved in solo sports build their own foundation on discipline, self-determination, and independence. Team sports rely more heavily on communication, accountability, and possessing a common purpose to help accomplish their goals.
Both share a key characteristic for succeeding in their respective fields. Whether you compete as an individual or as a team, performance, safety, and outcomes are enhanced by your equipment.
Safety in Contact Sports
The best examples of improvement in contact sports have been made in football. From the days of no helmets to the adoption of leather helmets, today’s scientifically backed protective equipment in football includes pads, shoes, polycarbonate helmets, and more.
The progression of player safety equipment continues, aided by greater advancements in materials and design needed to create stronger, yet lighter products. This evolution has made playing contact sports safer for players of all ages, genders, and skill levels.
Football is considered to be one of the more violent contact sports in America … it is also arguably the most popular. It is played by kids and adults alike. One could say that it’s safer now than it’s ever been. That being said, the sport is still grappling with injuries, including CTE, which is an affliction with serious health consequences.
CTE and other concussion-related maladies can happen in every contact sport, team or solo. Whereas equipment has been developed to help prevent head injury, no product has ever been developed to measure and track impact to the head.
This is where technology comes into play. The next iteration of safety equipment won’t necessarily be another pad or another brace. In fact, it may not even be visible from the sideline.
Technology is the Next Iteration of Safety Equipment
OMNi Sports Sensor represents a new way to protect athletes who engage in contact sports. OMNi engineers have created a wearable device that measures the severity and frequency of head impact. The key differentiator lies in its ability to record these events in real time for review by coaches, trainers, parents, and the athletes themselves. This change empowers those of us who love the sport to provide better direction and decisions that keep athletes safe.
Wearing the proper equipment is critical to any athlete participating in a contact sport. Measuring the important data that can have a lifelong impact on your health is equally, if not more, important.
This is the mission of all the OMNi Sports Sensor products. Our goal is to be the next piece of equipment that makes all contact sports a safer, more enjoyable activity for everyone who participates. We’re seeking others who want to help define our narrative and propel our product to widespread adoption.
It’s Time To Play Forward. It’s Time For Change.
